Once you met Russ Groves, you were his friend from that day forward. He was truly the man that would give his shirt off his back to you. He liked to ride his harley, loved to be with his friends, loved to travel, and loved to celebrate his birthday with a big bash.

At the time of his death, Russ Groves, was a true hero to the community and Fire Marshall; for the City of South Salt Lake. He was a Veteran firefighter for several cities across Salt Lake County. He was also a founding member of the Lionheart Gift Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. His exceptionally good friendship and service to the community was a huge loss and has deeply affected so many people.

Russ was a founding Lionheart Gift Foundation Board Member. He was all in when it came to giving back to his community. A community leader who was extremely well connected and willing and able to serve his community any way he possibly could.
