The Russ Groves Memorial Firefighter Scholarship
applications FOR UVU RCA 2026 Fall scholarships is now open
The Lionheart Gift Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for firefighter recruits who are going through UVU RCA Firefighter Academy and could use the assistance of the scholarship award.
Terms & Conditions:
In order to apply, you must be a US Citizen and a Utah resident. You must be accepted and enrolled in the UVU RCA. You must meet class average ratings or above. The LGF scholarship committee will review all applications. Awards are based on funding. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
To Apply:
1) Write an essay explaining why you deserve the scholarship. It can be as many pages as you want. The more information the better. Preference will be given to those who know about the Lionheart Gift Foundation.
2) Write your full name, mailing address, email address, and phone # on your essay.
3) Email your complete essay as an attachment to lionheartgift@gmail.com by the deadline.
4) In the subject line enter, Your Name- RG Firefighter Scholarship.
Applications open 10/14/2026 and close on 11/16/2026 11:59PM. The scholarship committee at times may request a virtual meeting with applicants to get a better understanding of the essay turned in. Awards will be given at the graduation ceremony on December 4, 2026.
